The Wisteria Arbor features elegant scrolling vines along the lower border of the gate, creating a sophisticated accent that does not overwhelm the stately appearance of the gate. The top border of the gate relies on a simple curved and straight rails, presenting a clean, geometric appearance. The two elements, scrolling vines, and simple geometric design result in an overall classic presentation.
J-bolts and barrels are included with each of our wrought iron gates. You can utilize existing posts/columns or purchase 4 x 4 posts with pre-attached hinges.

Artistry
Our gates are welded using traditional stick welding processes. Also known as shielded
metal arc welding, this process consists of using a consumable electrode coated
in flux (a chemical agent - zinc oxide - that removes oxidation from metals) to
create an electric arc for welding. The vapors from the flux create an inert gas,
known as shielding gas, which conducts heat and reduces the voltage required for
welding. This process also creates slag, or melted metal, that protects against
atmospheric contamination of the welded material. The slag must be chipped off,
and the overall process requires a skilled artisan for a properly finished piece.
Forging is the traditional means of working iron and other metals. Traditional tools
are the hammer and anvil, and one major benefit of forged metal is that it becomes
harder as it is worked. This is because the grains of the metal are deformed to
follow the new shape, not broken, as in other methods of metalworking. Our gates
are forged in order to provide the most durable final product possible.
After construction, the gate is air blasted to remove debris to start the intricate painting process. It begins with zinc spraying (metalizing), followed with a two-part epoxy primer applied electrostatically. Electrostatic painting is a technologically advanced process which uses particle-attracting properties to draw the paint directly to the gate. A "warp" effect helps the paint cling around the side and back surface which reduces overspray and helps cut down on waste. Finally, it is finished off with a two-part urethane color coat which is also applied electrostatically. This multi-step process is done to ensure a smooth, clean finish that is uniform and long lasting.

Wrought iron is a reliable, attractive metal used for crafting gates. To begin with,
it is versatile, making it suitable for a number of gate applications. It also offers
a unique appearance in comparison to standard metal or wood gates and can be customized
with a variety of accessories or welded with accents of other metals, such as brass.
It is so striking, that it has become a favored medium for metal sculptors for its
artistic value. Finally, it is durable, a must for security and extended life. As
such, we have chosen wrought iron for some of our finest and most distinctive gates.

Each of our products is crafted
upon the placement of the order, and is shipped directly from the manufacturer to
you. Delivery typically takes 2-3 months depending on the complexity of the piece,
the availability of the crafters, and the expediency of the customs bureau.
During that time, we will be in
frequent contact with you. Upon the placement of the order, one-quarter of the total
cost is due and you will receive an electronic order confirmation identifying the
U.S. customer representative who will be monitoring the order. The next e-mail notification
will be sent when the order is completed and received at our distribution center;
this notice will contain a picture of your completed gate, and the rest of the cost
will be due at this time. Upon receipt of the balance, we will ship the gate and
send you another notice identifying a tracking number for your convenience.
We very selectively choose the manufacturers
who produce the gates shown here, and culture a personal relationship with them.
By providing these products directly from the manufacturers, we are able to offer
you lower prices since there are no interim business or dealer costs to cover.
